Early 19th century 8 day longcase clock by John Ablitt and William Kirk, from Stowmarket, Suffolk. Mahogany case with 12" square white painted dial with arabic numerals, geometric patterns to dial corners and mouth calendar. Blued steel hands, with subsidiary seconds dial. Movement strikes the hours on a bell. Ablitt and Kirk were in partnership from 1810-1814.

Late Victorian 8" dial wall clock by Winterhalder and Hoffmeier and retailed by Camerer Kuss and co., London. Walnut case and backbox secured by the original four pegs. Repair trade label inside case back from M.Mayer, 76, Union st., Borough, London, this is stuck over a Camerer Kuss trade label. Repair dates back to 1892 marked on dial reverse.

White painted 16" open dial with gilded and ebonised circumference. Brass counterbalanced hands. Shaped plated line fusee movement with knopped pillars. Repairers names from Axbridge and Wells on front plate, so more than likely a west country clock.
