Description:Late 18th / early 19th century eight day longcase clock by Johnson from Evesham, Worcestershire. Fine quality oak and mahogany crossbanded case with very delicate, profusely decorated chequer stringing. Dial by Francis Byrne (1780-1810), with shepherdess in an oval cartouche within dial arch, and floral corner decoration in the Wilson style. Movement strikes the hours on a bell.
