Description: Early 19th century twin fusee convex drop dial wall clock by Hatfield and Hall from Manchester.
Mahogany two piece case. The mahogany veneered drop trunk with brass inlay, curved pendulum window and fan ears. The case radiused to the wall with large locking door. The back box top radiused to allow room for the hour striking bell.
The original white painted 12" diameter convex dial marked with Roman numerals and blued steel moon style hands is protected by a locking cast brass glazed bezel. The slim mahogany surround secured to the back box by 4 pegs
The 8 day line fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell.
William Hatfield from Sheffield and John Hall were working at Various addresses in Manchester 1831-45.
